Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.
Project Date1st August, 2017 to 4th September, 2019
CB Energy successfully completed the Western section of the 41 km Toowoomba Second range Crossing Project for NEXUS Delivery a Joint Venture of Acciona Infrastructure Australia and Ferrovial Agroman. The Western section stretches from Boundary Street at Cranley to the Gore Highway at Athol, a total of 21 km of roadway. The CB Energy team supplied and installed over 25 km of trenching with 48km of electrical and communications conduit. 504 electrical and communications pits, 253 footings for 12m Major Road streetlights and CCTV camera poles, 13 switchboard cabinets and 17.9 km of cable. The CB Energy Toowoomba team completed the 22,565 man hours with a single incident and ZERO Lost Time Injuries, a great achievement.
After CB Energy completed their own contract works and Nexus Delivery was in need of a competent contractor due to failure of another on the eastern section of the project, CB Energy took on the challenge and with a reduced time frame went above and beyond and delivered it in time.
Total installed on the project was over 58000m of electrical conduit, 750 Electrical Pits, over 300 Streetlights and foundations and 25000m of cable. Total man hours 25711 still without a single incident or LTI.
